NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) training is essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and conducting Range operations often mandatory for organized shoots.
This is a course conducted by a Chief RSO, an individual certified to train NRA Range Safety Officers.
The RSO course provides instruction in RSO roles and responsibilities, typical range SOP's (standard operating procedures), range inspection and developing and enforcing range rules, how to handle firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and how to conduct Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency.
